Saw some very nice and pretty sweet alyssum(Lobularia maritima) growing profusely in Europe. Is it possible to grow them in Singapore's climate under shade?

hi eug, just saw this thread so my response is kind of belated. i have tried growing this before and it bloomed. but the specimen was a poor shadow of what we see abroad. it's ok if you just want to experiment but not if you are expecting them to give you froths of white.

yep, grew that from seeds many years back before the weather turned more crazy... it still doesn't like the high humidity here and it needs dry and cool and bright sun (ie mediterranean) to grow well.

Thanks shamrock and islaverde,
Sounds like they might be possible in an aircon environment, next to window.
I must admit the shower of white is really quite magnificent. :drool:/>
