Pasta, Calamari, Egg Benedict and Pizza - Just took a bit of the pasta to whet my appetite.

Egg Benedict - A poached egg sitting atop a piece of toast and ham in between and covered in Hollandaise sauce. Gently break the surface of the egg york and the molten viscous egg york oozes out. This is what I called a perfectly executed egg!

Mini Toast, Honeydew, Parma Ham and Fig - I found the Parma ham to be too salty even eaten with the honeydew melon.

http://forums.vr-zone.com/photopost/data/1212/medium/Prego081.jpg

Closeup of a slice of Fig. The deep dark red colour fooled me into thinking it would be sweet but ended up it tasted bitter.

Meat Balls Spaghetti and Lasagne - The second of the food cart after the salad's. Initially turned down the offer to try these but my dining companion brought a plate for me.

Ms Jashel volunteered to help take a photo of me but I asked her to be the model instead and she was very sporting and posed for me.

Dessert Station - Leave some space in the tummy for the desserts because a whole range of sweet and savory cakes, pies, cookies and more await those with the sweet tooth. Since this was Easter Sunday, the theme of the desserts centered around chocolate, so tuck in and satisfy your craving.

http://forums.vr-zone.com/photopost/data/1212/medium/Prego086.jpg

Aren't this Strawberry Blueberry Cake so beautifully crafted? Those candies on top were kind of hard for my teeth though.

http://forums.vr-zone.com/photopost/data/1212/medium/Prego087.jpg

This Vanilla Cheese Cake suit my palate better. Glazed citrus fruits and berries sit on top of the rich creamy and smooth cheese cake.

Cannoli consist of tube-shaped shells of fried pastry dough, filled with a sweet, creamy filling usually containing ricotta and chopped pistachios.

Panna Cotta is an Italian dessert made by simmering together cream, milk and sugar, mixing this with gelatin, and letting it cool until set. Usually served with wild berries, caramel, chocolate sauce or fruit coulis.

Chocolate Praline Tonte - Take a bite and let the dark bitter sweet flavour spread inside your mouth, so heavenly yet sinful.

http://forums.vr-zone.com/photopost/data/1212/medium/Prego093.jpg

Almond Financier - When I first look at the display tag, I asked myself what a financier got to do with a cake! Took a bite and decided it's not my kind of cake as it's too sweet.

Quote

A financier is a small French cake, often mistaken for a pastry. The financier is a light, moist teacake, similar to sponge cake, and usually contains almond flour, crushed or ground almonds, or almond flavoring. The basis of the cake itself is beurre noisette (brown butter), egg whites, powdered sugar and flour. Financiers are often baked in shaped molds. The name "financier" is said to derive from the traditional rectangular mold, which resembles a bar of gold. Another theory says that the cake became popular in the financial district of Paris surrounding La Bourse du Commerce (the former name of the Paris stock exchange).

Financiers are often served topped with whipped cream, berries, or other fruit, and served accompanied by ice cream or other frozen confections. Financier pans are traditionally rectangular; however, other shapes are not uncommon.

Bird Nest made of caramelized sugar with candy eggs and sitting atop assorted puffs. Aren't this eggs-tra cute?

http://forums.vr-zone.com/photopost/data/1212/medium/Prego096.jpg

Chicks in Chocolate Egg - I am not sure if this was a decoration or it can be eaten (the chocolate egg not the chicks).

http://forums.vr-zone.com/photopost/data/1212/medium/Prego097.jpg

Chocolate Egg Flan - We were trying to figure out what the egg york was made of and we were none the wiser at the end of the day. All I can tell you was it had a chocolate shell and lemon/lime fragrant for the cream/mousse.

Dessert Station - All the egg-tra special theme decorations for East Sunday. "Eggs" are in the nests everywhere, even adults can't resist taking them.

These Anise Cookies gets it's flavouring from the anise extract which is distinguished by its licorice-like flavour.

Chocolate Mousse Cake - The restaurant used a large chocolate shell in the form of half an egg to hold the mousse cake.

Chocolate Pot De Creme Meringue in shooter glass with a crystal ball below as stand.

Deep Frying the Apple Fritter - The taste of this resembled donuts. You can't actually tasted the bits of apple flesh inside the dough which was far too sweet coated in sugar.

Chef scooping Gelato - I always have a preference for gelato over ice cream in that they are denser and typically less sweet.

http://forums.vr-zone.com/photopost/data/1212/medium/Prego114.jpg

Chocolate and Pistachio Gelato - Should have asked for separate cups for the gelato as the chocolate one overpowered the light nutty fragrant of the pistachio version.

http://forums.vr-zone.com/photopost/data/1212/medium/Prego115.jpg

Cappuccino - I half expected them to put some designs on the milk foam but it did not materialised.

Latte

http://forums.vr-zone.com/photopost/data/1212/medium/Prego117.jpg

Strawberry and Strawberry & Banana Smoothies - No idea why they bother to call this a Smoothie Brunch when all they served are these two smoothies. Hey, they have lots of honeydew melons at the parma ham station too but its not put to good use.

Painting the Easter Eggs - While the adults feasted on the gourmet foods, kids have their own activities too like painting Easter Eggs.

The service staffs were wearing smiles and attentive to the diners' needs. Empty plates were promptly cleared, napkin folded and water topped up. Foods were fresh and constantly replenished. But if you were to ask me if it's value for money, I would probably not go back again if not for the 50% discount. Now to try their breakfast buffet. :D/>
