Btw, this is correctly called 'Terminalia mantaly'. It is not a Bucida.

must ask bossman wilson to go check.

Talos,
I think this plant should be able to grow from cutting. You should try it.

the danger of propagating from side branches may bring about a plant that loses its characteristic tiered effect.

you cannot marcot the main lead also cos it will cause the original tree to branch and lose its single main lead growth...

I am interested in seeing what they will look like when they grow especially Anthuriums.

I mostly sell my plants but I also like to trade them for specific plants that I think I dont have in volume or are not in my collection.

What's the propagation method? *ishoping that it's stem cutting* Lol...

I haven't tried air layering but they say it wont grow so I tried grafting them to the ordinary/green variety and they seem to be doing well. Seeds are probably the best way to do it... but I guess it would take you so many years to harvest one... :hitmyself:/>

Hi Bucida/Terminalia lovers! I just bought a pot of it today (2 tiers at the moment). I would like to let it grow its third tier. What do I need to do to stimulate it to grow the third tier instead of just growing straight without any branches? As for the variegated species, fans have commented that it takes longer than its counterpart to grow; is there an estimate of how long does it take for them to another tier? Thanks!:)/>

i bought the green one first cuz the variegated one is quite expensive for a beginner. i got the green one (two tiers) for about rm20 whereas the variegated once (single tier, relatively smaller than the green one i bought) is about rm30

My variegated bucida is shedding like mad and making a mess! Shall I just prune it? I scared my neighbors downstairs complain of the falling leaves... ;p (his balcony has no sign of greenery... just hanging laundry and old stuff)
